New pet featured each Wednesday!

February 04, 2026: ASH

A cat wearing a scarf

AI-generated content may be incorrect."There was a crooked little man who lived in a crooked little house......Well, that would be me. I came into the shelter with a nasty wound on my neck that left me with some nerve damage and a little bit of a crooked gait. No problem! I am  Ash, a sweet  2 year-old black short haired male. I like other cats but am not a fan of dogs.  Staff says I am the best boy in spite of being literally a little crooked. I am up here at the shelter waiting for my family to find me."

Check out pictures of all the cats, kittens, dogs and puppies at the shelter ready for adoption on our new Facebook page Lewis County Humane Society NY 501c3. Application forms and information can be found at lewiscountyhumanesociety.org/adopt
