AI-generated content may be incorrect.LOWVILLE- Daniel E. Stanford, 69, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at his residence on Erie Canal Road.


 He was born in Lowville on June 21,1956.


Dan enjoyed everything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, bird watching and most of all, riding free on his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed good ole country bonfires, BBQs and being with friends and family. Dan spent several decades on the road as a truck driver and enjoyed it very much. He loved God and was a true patriot at heart.


Dan always kept the room laughing and in good spirits. He will be deeply missed by many.


He is survived by his children, Stephanie Bowie (Bishop) of NC, Daniel Stanford of Greig, NY, and Samantha Stanford (Brandon) of Glenfield, NY. Along with several grandchildren, Noah (Lauren), Briana (Chase), Joy, Isaac, Anna, Justice, Dylan, Luna, and Landon; his great granddaughter, Harlow; as well as numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. Daniel was predeceased by his loving fiance, Dawne Ferriero; parents, Lewis Stanford and Margaret Nelson; and sisters, Kathy Stanford and Trisha Moser.


A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18th, 2026 at the Deferiet Fire Department, 101 Riverside Drive, Deferiet, NY 13628.  Arrangements are in the care of Mills Funeral Home, Boonville.
