Lewis County Court Activity Report: December 21, 2018

    Lowville, NY- The following plea and sentencing activity took place this
    morning in Lewis County Court, with the Honorable Daniel R. King presiding:

    Kayleigh I. Arnold, 26, of Harrisville, was sentenced as a second-felony
    offender to serve 1 1/2 to 3 years in State prison on a charge of fourth-degree
    Grand Larceny, a class E felony, to which she pleaded guilty to on October 12.
    She was additionally ordered to pay $375 in court fees and $495 in restitution.

    Ms. Arnold admitted to stealing a shotgun and rifle from a residence in the
    Town of Croghan on August 12, 2017.

    She was previously convicted on felony counts of fourth-degree Grand Larceny
    and third-degree Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in 2015.

    Joshua L. Mellnitz, 25, of Glenfield, pleaded guilty to a charge of Aggravated
    Driving While Intoxicated, a class E felony, after registering a .27 B.A.C. while
    driving on the Wetmore road in the town of Watson on June 10. Sentencing
    was scheduled for February 1, when is expected to be placed on probation for
    5 years and serve 100 hours of community service. Mr. Mellnitz was previously
    convicted of DWI in 2014, automatically making the current charge a felony.
