Votes to Endorse Sheriff Carpinelli’s Re-election

Lowville, NY- The 28
members of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch and Corrections Unit
of the Civil Service Employees Association union have voted 26-2 in support
of endorsing Sheriff Michael Carpinelli’s re-election
bid for a fourth term as Lewis County Sheriff.
The Dispatch and
Corrections Unit includes correction officers, dispatchers, and civilian
employees at the Sheriff’s office.
The Road Patrol Unit
at the Sheriff’s office previously
announced their endorsement of Sheriff Carpinelli’s
re-election bid on May 24.
Sheriff Carpinelli is being challenged by retired State
Trooper Nichole Turck for the
Republican line for Sheriff in the upcoming primary on June 27, with the
winner moving on to the General Election on November 7 as the Republican
candidate. Ms. Turck has already
received the Conservative Party line for the General Election, ensuring her
place on the ballot in November.
