Lowville, NY- The 25 members
of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol Unit of the United Public
Service Employees Union have voted unanimously in support of endorsing
Sheriff Michael Carpinelli’s re-election bid for
a fourth term as Lewis County Sheriff.
The Road Patrol
Unit includes road deputies, school resource officers, part time recreation
patrols, road sergeants, the civil office, and investigators.
Sheriff Carpinelli is being challenged by retired State Trooper
Nichole Turck for the Republican line for Sheriff
in the upcoming primary on June 27, with the winner moving on to the General
Election on November 7 as the Republican candidate. Ms. Turck
has already received the Conservative Party line for the General Election,
ensuring her place on the ballot in November.
We’ll have more
from each candidate leading up to the June 27 Primary Election, including a
Meet the Candidates event tentatively scheduled for mid-June. More details on
that will be provided as soon as the event details are finalized.
