What to Do Around the County This Weekend

    Lewis County-  If you're looking for something to do this weekend there are a
    number of activities going on around the county. The weather is looking great
    with highs around 60 for both Saturday and Sunday, with only a 30% chance of
    rain Saturday and mostly sunny skies for Sunday. If the list below doesn't have
    something for you then there is always that yard work waiting after the long
    winter, or maybe take advantage of the nice spring weather to do some fishing!
    Here is a sampling of some of the activities planned for the weekend:

    Friday April 17th

    Chicken Barbecue: 4:30pm-8:00pm  Naumburg Mennonite Church Route 410
    (Between Castorland and Naumburg) Dine in/Take Out  $8.50 Dinners $5.50
    Halves

    Town of Crighan Historian's Office Open House: 11am-8pm Friday and
    11am-4pm Saturday at the Town of Croghan Municipal Building on Route 126
    in Beaver Falls. Pictures and Displays pertaining to the history of Croghan will
    be featured.

    SNIRT Run: Friday 6pm-9pm, Saturday registration begins at 5am. For more

    Moonshiner: The band Moonshiner will be playing at the Ridgeview Inn in
    Lowville

    Saturday April 18th

    Benefit for Andy Susice: 11:30am at Crossroads Tavern in Castorland.
    Chicken Barbecue starts at 11:30am with an auction beginning at 12pm.

    Magic Show with Francis Mennotti: Lowville Academy and Central School
    An All Ages Show at 2pm and an Adult Audience Show at 7pm
    Cost: $10 adults, Youth 5-18 $5, Children 4 and under free

    DJ and Dance: American Legion Post 162 in Lowville, 7pm-11pm DJ David
    Peebles

    The Nelson Brothers Band: Lewis County VFW Post 6912 in Lowville, 7pm-
    10pm. $5 cover charge

    Season End Party With Karaoke: 3D Sports in Lowville 8pm

    Spring Party: Crossroads Tavern in Castorland 9:30pm-1:30am With DJ
    Brasco. No cover charge

    Performance by Mike & Erin: Ridgeview Inn in Lowville

    Sunday April 19th

    Breakfast: American Legion Post 1663 in Croghan, 8am-11am

    Pancake Breakfast: St. John's Catholic Church in Lyons Falls, 8am-12pm

    Wine Tasting: "Fruit of the Vine" Wine Tasting Party at the Port Leyden Fire
    Hall, 2pm-5pm  Tickets: $10 each or $15 couples. Sponsored by St. Martin's
    and St. John's Catholic Churches
