Lewis County- If you are looking for something to do this weekend, there are plenty of events going on throughout Lewis County! Below are just some of the things to do.
Friday June 12- Auction Dinner and Preview of Items from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M Saturday June 13- Pancake and sausage breakfast at 6 A.M., Bidding begins at 9 A.M. with a BBQ Chicken and Pork Lunch opening at 11:30 A.M. For more information and pictures of items visit www.beavercamp.org
Saturday June 13- Check in at 8:30 A.M. at the Lewis County Fairgrounds, with race beginning at 9:30 A.M. Registration is $20 per person with the competition open to teams of three to seven people. The three mile event benefits the Maple Ridge center and you can register for the event at mapleridgecenter.org .

Saturday June 13- Located at Pine Grove and Austin Road in Watson. Starts at 12:30 P.M. Music by Capo 3 and Neighborhood Rednecks. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and a 50/50 Raffle will be available.
Saturday June 13- Gates open at 3 P.M., Heats from 6 P.M. until 10 P.M. Grandstand Admission is $10 with children 12 and under free. For more information on this event visit www.adirondackspeedway.com
Saturday June 13- 7 P.M. until 11 P.M. athe the Lowville VFW post #6912 There is a $5 cover charge, food will also be available
Sunday June 14- Walk begins at 12 P.M. athe the Lewis County Fairgrounds. Registration at 11 A.M. The cost to participate$20 for adults and $10 for children. All proceeds benefit the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America.
Sunday June 14- Lowville Elks are hosting the annual Flag Day Parade, starting at 2 PM from the American Legion and heading down Shady Avenue to the Elks Lodge. Marching bands to perform include Lowville Academy, Copenhagen, LaFargeville, and the 10th Division Marching Band from Fort Drum. Almost all of the local fire and emergency departments will be participating. Your local American Legion, Marine Corps, VFW will be marching as well as Lowville, Watertown and Carthage Elks Lodges who will be handing out flags to anyone that doesn't have one. In attendance will also be the Boy and Cub Scouts of America, classic cars, horse and buggies, the Lewis County Dairy Princess and more. A flag retirement ceremony outside of the lodge (by the Veterans of Lowville Memorial Color Guard) will commence immediately after the parade followed by a flag ceremony inside the lodge (this includes a Presentation of the Flags with the help of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 162, patriotic music, and a guest speaker from Fort Drum). The event will conclude with refreshments and socialization. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to find a spot on Shady Avenue and join us in honoring our Country and our Flag. |
