Take Advantage of the 36 State Forest Areas in Lewis County

    Lewis County-  With the nice weather here and summer just around the
    corner, we thought it would be a great time to remind everyone of the
    recreational opportunities available at our State Forests. Lewis County is
    home to 36 State Forest Areas that the public has access to use. Many include
    streams, lakes or ponds for fishing, trails for hiking and an abundance of
    wildlife to see.

    Below we have listed each forest area in the county linked to a brief description
    of what the area has to offer and directions for accessing the area, from the
    New York State DEC. We have also included a map of Lewis County showing
    the locations of all the State Forest areas. If you click on the image of the map
