| Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Coupons Available July 1st 06/29/15 09:55pm |
Lewis County: Coupons for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program have arrived and will begin being distributed on Wednesday, July 1. The coupons are a $20 value, good at any farmers market in New York state, between July 1st and November 30th. The program is intended to help out senior households which meet an eligibility requirement. To be eligible the recipient must be over the age of 60, a resident of Lewis County and have a monthly income at or below the following: $1,815 per month for a one-person household $2,456 per month for a two-person household $3,098 per month for a three-person household If the participant is currently receiving SSI, Public Assistance or a Section 8 housing subsidy they may also be eligible. Also anyone who has received farmers market coupons from any other location can not receive again. Coupons will be available at the Lewis County Office for the Aging during their regular business hours between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. The office is located at 7550 South State Street in the Lowville Commons building. The coupons will also be distributed during the following dates and times at the specified locations. Wednesday, July 1 — Harrisville Senior Nutrition Site at Harris Courts, 10 AM - 12 PM; Valley View Courts, 10 AM - 11 AM; Lowville Senior Nutrition Site at Maple Ridge Center, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Thursday, July 2 — Lewis County General Hospital Farmers Market, 1 PM - 2:30 PM Tuesday, July 7 — High Falls Apartments Senior Housing, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM; Whitton Place Senior Housing, 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM.; Lyons Falls Senior Nutrition Site at McManus Hotel, 11 AM - 12 PM; Lyons Falls Farmers Market, 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM.; Webber’s Rooming House, 3:30 PM - 4:15 PM.; Karcher Country Estates, 3PM - 4:30 PM; Happy Achers Senior Housing, 10 AM - 10:30 AM; Copenhagen Senior Nutrition Site, 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM Thursday, July 9 — Croghan Senior Nutrition Site at Steepleview Courts, 10:30 Am - 11:30 AM Saturday, July 11 — Lowville Farmers Market, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 15 — Osceola Senior Nutrition Site at Osceola Outpost, 11 AM - 12 PM Thursday, July 23 — Lewis County Fair — Senior Citizen Day, 10 AM - 3 PM
