Lowville- The Lowville Village Police arrested a Lowville woman on Friday night,
    after being called to the A-Plus store on South State Street for a report of a
    disturbance between the store clerk and a female customer.

    Police say Katrina N. Nugent, 21, was trying to return a pack of cigarettes she
    had just purchased. Patrols asked Ms. Nugent to leave the property at the clerks
    request, when she then crossed the street continuing to be loud and causing a
    disturbance according to police. She was placed under arrest for Disorderly
    Conduct and was found to be in possession of one Lorazepam tablet, which is a
    class IV controlled substance.

    Ms. Nugent was charged with Disorderly Conduct, seventh degree Possession of
    a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Non
    Original Container. She was issued tickets to appear in the Lowville Village Court
    at a later date.

    The New York State Police assisted at the scene.
