Lowville- The Lowville Village Police arrested a Castorland man just after midnight this morning. Police say that Brandon J. Zehr, 27, was observed driving the wrong way on Park Place onto North State Street, and then switched lanes of traffic without using his signal light. Mr. Zehr was stopped by patrols on South State Street and according to police, failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to the lewis County Public Safety Building where police say he registered a BAC of 0.16%. Mr. Zehr was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Signal a Lane Change, Driving the Wrong Way on a One Way Street, and Excessive Window Tint. He was issued tickets to appear in the Village of Lowville Court at a later date. |
