Lewis County Public Health Holding Mass Dispensing Drill Wednesday

    Lowville-  Lewis County Public Health needs your help! They will be
    performing a Mass Antibiotic Dispensing Drill on Wednesday, June 24th in the
    main gymnasium at the Lowville Academy & Central School. The drill will take
    place from 1PM until 3PM. In order to obtain a maximum effect as many
    volunteers as possible are needed from the community.

    The purpose of the drill is to test current emergency preparedness plans and to
    prepare for future emergencies. Public Health is holding the drill to ensure that
    they can provide and dispense life saving medications to all of Lewis County
    within forty-eight hours of an emergency.

    Participants in the drill can expect to receive mock medication and education as
    they make their way through. Each person should expect to be through the drill
    in about fifteen minutes. In addition to receiving a valuable education in
    preparing for an emergency, everyone that participates will be entered into a
    drawing for an iPad mini or a shingles vaccine.

    Anyone who is interested is encouraged to participate in this important event.

    Please, plan on setting aside fifteen minutes of your day this Wednesday to
    help ensure that Lewis County can take care of you in the event of a public
