Lowville Man Facing Charges After Allegedly Fleeing Depuites

    Town of Watson- The Lewis County Sheriff's Department arrested a Lowville
    man Wedesday afternoon, after he allegedly fled a traffic stop on the Number
    Four Road, in the Town of Watson.

    Deputies reportedly tried to stop Jefferey F. Jantzi, 37, for driving with a
    suspended license and an active Family Court warrant. Mr. Jantzi then allegedly
    entered a private driveway and fled on foot. Deputies deployed K-9 Wyman, and
    Mr. Jantzi was taken into custody without further incident.

    Mr. Jantzi was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor
    Vehicle, Failure to Comply With a Lawful Order of Police, Failure to Signal, and
    Failure to Change Address on Driver's License. He was arrainged in Lowville
    Town court on the active bench warrant and remanded to the Lewis County jail.
    Mr. Jantzi is due to face the other charges in the Town of Watson court at a later
    date.

    Deputies were assisted on the scene by the New York State Police and Kaflines
    Towing.
