    Town of New Bremen- The Lewis County Sheriff's Department arrested a
    Croghan man after an accident early this morning between a pickup truck and a
    Beaver River Central School bus.

    Deputies say that Tyler L. Noftsier, 25, was operating his pickup truck in a
    westerly direction on NYS Route 126, when he made an improper right turn onto
    Main Street, causing his pickup to hit the school bus stopped at a stop sign.

    Two students were treated and released for minor injuries. Mr. Noftsier was
    transported to Lewis County General Hospital for minor injuries. Deputies said a
    field sobriety test was conducted and blood drawn.

    Mr. Noftsier was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Improper Right Turn,
    Failure to Keep Right, and Failure to Reduce Speed on a Corner. The
    investigation is continuing and further charges are pending. A BAC was not
    provided by deputies nor was the arrest status of Mr. Noftsier.
