Lowville- The Lewis County Sheriff's Department arrested a Lowville man on September 17 after he allegedly stole a trailer in the Town of Osceola, deputies reported today. Andrew M. Ellis,30, was charged with third-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, third-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Operating an Unlicensed Trailer. Depuities say that while responding to a complaint of the trailer being stolen, they passed a truck towing a trailer matching the description, heading in the opposite direction in the Town of West Turin. After stopping the vehicle the deputy determined the trailer was the one reported stolen, according to police. Mr.Ellis was arraigned in the Town of Turin court and remanded to the Lewis County Jail on $1,000 cash bail. |
