Camp Google Offers Free,Educational Activities For Children at Home

    Lewis County- It's been just a few weeks since summer officially got underway,
    and by now some parents are probably already hearing that old familiar phrase
    of, "I'm Bored", from their children! If this sounds too familiar, we may have found
    a perfect solution to help occupy some of their time over the next few weeks.

    Google, the internet search giant, is partnering with the National Parks Agency,
    National Geographic, NASA, and the Khan Academy, in launching Camp Google,
    a free online summer camp for children, with science activities and adventures
    led by experts. The camp will consist of four theme weeks, Science Week, Space
    Week, Nature Week and Music Week.

    Camp Google is set to kickoff on Monday, July 13, and is geared toward children
    ages 7 - 10, although with proper supervision all ages are invited to participate.
    The activities on Camp Google are designed for kids without the need of parents
    participation, but families are encouraged to come together and share in the fun.
    Parents can always view activities beforehand.

    There is no registration or account needed to take part. It is designed to get kids
    outside and exploring with fun science activities. Although the camp is free, there
    are some activities that will require the use of common household items. You can
    check the site in advance to see what items may be needed.
