    Boonville-  The Boonville police arrested a village man after investigation into
    an animal cruelty complaint on September 7th on East Schuyler Street.

    Joseph Lamie, 21, is accused of allegedly beating his rabbit to death with a blunt
    object, police reported after the investigation and a witness led to the arrest. He
    was charged with a felony count of Aggravated Animal Cruelty and a
    misdemeanor  count of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals. Mr. Lamie
    was arraigned in Boonville Village Court and was sent to Oneida County jail on
    $5,000 cash bail bond.
