Town of Greig- Sources have told us this situation has been resolved and was reportedly a prank call. Thankfully no one was injured. Hopefully whoever thought this was a good idea for a prank will be found and punished to the fullest extent of the law. A great deal of resources were involved in responding to this. We usually try to refrain from posting a fluid situation, but felt this was an important situation to keep updated. We were careful to report only what was known, a possible hostage situation. We are glad the situation worked out as it did. Our original report is below. A possible hostage situation is currently unfolding in the Town of Greig. Few details are available at this time, but all available law enforcement have been called along with Search and Rescue. We are told a helicopter was dispatched and the Glenfield Fire hall is being considered as a Command Center. Radio silence has been enacted. We were told the situation is taking place at the Calvary Bible Church, located at 6869 Sweeney Road in Greig. A Lifenet helicopter is currently on the ground at the 3G Fire Department we have been told. We will update as information is received. |
