Boonville- The Boonville Police Department arrested a village of Boonville man Sunday evening after receiving an animal cruelty complaint about a cat that had allegedly been beaten to death with a blunt object at a Main Street residence, according to police. Richard Mooney, 54, was charged with Aggravated Animal Cruelty, a felony, and Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals, a misdemeanor. Mr. Mooney was arraigned in Boonville Town Court and remanded to the Oneida County jail on $7,000 cash bail or bond. |
