Lowville- With summer quickly winding down and a brand new school year on the horizon, it's time to make sure each child is prepared for a successful start to their new classes. For many families it's a struggle this time of year, with the extra burden of expense brought on to obtain everything needed for their child or children to start the new school year.
have been holding a backpack drive to lend a little help to some of the children who would not otherwise be able to have a new backpack for the first day of school! Although we didn't meet our goal of 100 backpacks to give out quite yet, there is still time to participate if you would like to drop off a bag.
the North Country Tech location at 7537 South State Street in Lowville. The backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until all are gone. There are currently just over 50 backpacks to give out, and any parent struggling with their school supply budget is encouraged to bring your child in to receive a new bag to start the new school year!
