Lewis County- With most of the schools throughout Lewis County opening their
    doors Wednesday for the start of the new year (with the exception of Beaver
    River, which starts classes on Tuesday, September 8th), there will be many new
    faces among the staff. Here are some of the new additions by school, from those
    received.

    BEAVER RIVER:

    Ms. Sarah Thisse, a graduate of Lowville Academy joins us as the Title 1
    Reading Teacher in the Learning Center. Sarah was a long-term substitute in the
    Learning Center last year. Sarah received her BS and MSdegrees from SUNY
    Potsdam. Sarah currently lives in Lowville with her daughter.

    Ms. Gretchen Anderson, a graduate of Beaver River joins us to teach grade K-
    5 Special Education. Gretchen has her BS degree from the College of Saint
    Rose and her MS degree from SUNY Potsdam. Gretchen comes to Beaver River
    from BOCES where she was a Special Education teacher for the last nine years.
    Gretchen currently lives in Glenfield.

    Ms. Kim Gould, a graduate of Beaver River joins us as a Teaching Assistant.
    Kim has been a substitute at Beaver River for the last five years. Kim lives in
    Croghan with her husband and their two children.

    Ms. Mindy Roggie, a BRCS alumni joins us as a Teaching Assistant. Mindy has
    worked at Beaver River as a monitor for the last two years and has volunteered
    for several years in the elementary classrooms. Mindy lives in Croghan.

    Mrs. Kimberly Watkins, a graduate of Hartford High School joins us as a
    Teaching Assistant. Kim was a substitute teaching assistant last year at Beaver
    River. Kim lives in New Bremen with her husband and their three children.

    Mrs. Joanna Allen,a graduate of Lowville Academy joins us as a Teaching
    Assistant. Joanna joins us from Lowville Academy where she was a recess
    monitor. Joanna lives in Martinsburg with her husband and two children.

    Mr. William Meyer, a BRCS alumni joins the staff as a Bus Driver. Bill has been
    a substitute bus driver at Beaver River for the past two years. Bill lives in
    Carthage with his wife.

    Mrs. Heather Pellam, a graduate of Lowville Academy will join the Food Service
    Department. Heather will take over the position of Cashier when Mrs. Diane
    Farney retires in November. Heather lives in New Bremen with her husband and
    two children.

    Ms. Brianna Farney, a BRCS alumni will join the Food Service Department.
    Brianna will be a Food Service Worker in the MS/HS Cafeteria. Brianna lives in
    Castorland with her daughter.

    Ms. Andee Morrison, a graduate of Beaver River will join the Food Service
    Department. Brianna will be a Food Service Worker in the Elementary Cafeteria.
    Andee lives in Beaver Falls.

    COPENHAGEN:

    David Easton, will be filling a one year leave ofabsence in 9-10 Social Studies.

    Carrie Hall will be replacing Sara Gleason as our K-12 vocal music teacher,

    Emily Olley will be stepping in as a UPK teaching assistant.

    Dannielle Harmer- High School Science

    Amanda Chamberlain- High School English

    Caitlin Virkler- 4th Grade

    Amy L’Huillier- 1st Grade

    Kelsey Brand- 2nd Grade

    HARRISVILLE:

    Mrs. Amy Bird is the new PreK – 6 Principal and Committee on Special
    Education Chairperson (CSE Chair). She comes from Carthage with a wealth of
    Common Core curriculum knowledge and strategies to close achievement gaps.

    Melissa Martin– 7-12 Special Education Teacher

    Julie Delpapa– 6th Grade Mary Katherine Brozzo– 5th Grade

    Ashlee Kniskern– AIS Literacy & Elementary Art

    Mike Hanley– 1st Grade

    Autumn Rivers, Pat Kelly, Bridget Paro– Teacher Assistants

    Marletha Hughto– Teacher Aide

    LOWVILLE:

    Ms Tricia Stevens- Spanish Teacher

    Mrs. Sylvia Beller- Registered Nurse, joining the Health Office

    Ms. Abbie Peck-  Cleaning Staff, full-time

    Mrs. Diana Sweredoski- Teacher Aide
