Lewis County- It appears to be a quiet weekend for events in Lewis County, with the 195th Annual Lewis County Fair on the horizon. As of now the weather looks like a split, with Friday starting off sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Friday night the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms increases and remains throughout the day on Saturday. By Sunday the National Weather Service is predicting mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low 80s.

Saturday, July 18th- 10 AM - 3 PM at the Forest Park Pavilion at the Lewis County Fairgrounds.
Saturday, July 18th- 10 AM - 3 PM at the Happy Hollow Campground, 4531 State Route 410. Children can have ID Cards made, fire department displays, Life Net Chopper on hand and more.
Saturday, July 18th- 9 AM - 5 PM, Starts and sops at the Highmarket Inn, open to members and non members. $10 donation is used for trail maintenance and development. Registration, Insurance and a Lewis County Permit or 3 Day Pass required. Pre-register from 6 PM- 8 PM Friday at Whiskey Jacks or Trailside. There will be 11 stops on the run including: Alpine, Barrows, Hideaway, Timberview, Towpath, Whiskey Jacks, Kovach Repairs, Catspaw, Trailside, Coachlight and Pine Tree Inn. Alpine and Kovach are bonus stops. You need five stops to draw cards and will draw one additional card for each bonus stop you make. Must be 18 or older to draw cards. Participants asked to please ride safe, stay on the trails and respect landowners property. Fun on the Run- Points Racing: Saturday, July 18th- 6 PM at Adrirondack International Speedway. AIS Classes: Super Stocks, Sport Compact, Trucks, Thunderstocks, Juniors, and Legends. Grandstand Admission- $10, Pits open at 3 PM, Pit Fees- $20 per person.
Saturday, July 18th- VFW Post 6912, Lowville from 1 PM - 5 PM. Spaghetti and Meatball Dinner with salad and roll, $8 adults, children 11 and under $4. There will be a 50/50 raffle, silent and Chinese auctions, bake sale, live auction and DJ. For more information or to donate contact Diane at 376-3345 Free Concert: Sunday July 19th- Croghan Volunteer Fire Department, 1 PM - 3 PM. Featuring the Norwood Brass Firemen's Band. Light Refreshments, Bring a lawn chair. Auction: Sunday, July 19th- 3G Fire Hall, Blue Street in Glenfield, 6 PM until all is sold. Food will be available.
