Tom dedicated his life to his family—there was nothing more important to him. He was the consummate family man, raising two sons and demonstrating what it meant to be a devoted husband, father, friend, and community member by leading through example. In their early days, he coached both boys in Scotia Little League and other youth sports, and he never missed a high school or college game, traveling thousands of miles to watch his boys and their buddies compete.

Known affectionately as "Pops," his grandchildren were his greatest joy. Tom was a fixture at all of their games and events, attending every concert, play, holiday festivity, and more. "GMA and Pops" truly were everywhere.

Tom attended SUNY Oneonta for his undergraduate degree, which is where he met the love of his life and made many lasting memories and lifelong friendships- especially among his Sigma Tau brothers and Chris’s Pi Chi sisters.

A local government expert with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University, Tom proudly served the local governments of New York State throughout his career. His dedication left a lasting mark through his roles with the Tug Hill Commission, the NYS Assembly Committee on State and Local Relations, and the NYS Association of Towns.

Tom is survived by his wife of 54 years, Chris; his sons, Joe (Kristin) and A.J. (Deirdre); his four cherished grandchildren: Jessica, Jackson, Callahan, and Preston and his siblings, Margie, Danny and Faith. Additionally, Tom leaves behind a vast and loving extended family who will miss him dearly.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 20th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Glenville Funeral Home, located at 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville, NY.
