Niagara Falls Woman Indicted on Lewis County Burglary Charges

LOWVILLE, N.Y. – A Lewis County Grand Jury has indicted Stephanie Paduano, also known as Stephanie Genco, 33, of Niagara Falls, on charges of Burglary in the Second Degree, Burglary in the Third Degree, and four counts of Petit Larceny stemming from an alleged incident in Lewis County on July 29, 2025.

According to the indictment, Paduano is accused of unlawfully entering a dwelling and building with the intent to commit a crime and stealing property.  Police allege that while staying as a guest at an Airbnb property in Lewis County, she stole items belonging to the property owner and later attempted to sell some of the items online.

The case was investigated by the Lewis County Sheriff's Office. Since September 2025, police had been attempting to locate Paduano in connection with the case. Following diligent efforts by members of the Sheriff's Office, she was recently located and apprehended. Police also reported that she engaged in repeated, unwanted social media communications directed at the Airbnb property owner, the investigating Sheriff's deputy, and members of the deputy's immediate family.

Paduano was arraigned in Lewis County Court on November 4, 2026, where she pleaded not guilty to all charges. She was remanded to the Lewis County Jail with bail set at $75,000 cash or $150,000 bond. She is scheduled to return to court on November 10, 2026.

An indictment is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
