Paving Project to Result in Lane Closures on State

Lane Closures Planned Along State Route 12 in Lewis
County
The New York
State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that State Route
12 will be reduced to a single lane, with alternating flows of traffic
controlled by flaggers, from Franklin Street Extension in the town of West
Turin to Glendale Road in the town of Martinsburg, Lewis County, from 6:30
a.m. to 6:30 p.m. beginning Saturday, October 10, through Monday, October
26, excluding Sundays, for a paving operation.
Motorists should
anticipate travel delays and build extra travel time into their schedules.
Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change based
on conditions.
Motorists are
urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled
for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations
in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
