Orthopedics Welcomes Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon Carol Fisher, MD
 LOWVILLE, NY - Lewis County
Health System is pleased to welcome Orthopedic Surgeon Carol Fisher, MD,
ABOS. Dr. Fisher joins physicians
Greg Keller, MD; Carolyn Hettrich, MD, MPH; Shane Woolf, MD; and physician
assistants Evan Leibelsperger, PA-C; Karen Fish, PA-C; and Sarah Finnigan,
PA-C, on the main hospital campus in Lowville.
"We are
thrilled to welcome Dr. Carol Fisher to the orthopedic team," stated
Sean Harney, Chief Medical Officer of Employed Practices at Lewis County
Health System. "Dr. Fisher’s surgical
skills and experience will be an asset to our orthopedic team.”
Dr. Fisher received
her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School, and
was a general surgical resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center,
Hanover, New Hampshire. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at
the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada, and a fellowship
in Reconstructive Surgery of the Shoulder, Hip and Knee at Hennepin County
Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She is Board
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a Fellow of the
American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Along with
general orthopedics, arthroscopy, trauma and hand, her areas of interest
include total joint replacement, revisions and shoulder.
When not seeing
patients at Lewis County Orthopedics, Dr. Fisher supervises the Orthopedic
Specialty Clinics at Hudson Headwaters Health Network, in Warrensburg, New
York. She has also worked at
Adirondack Orthopedic Physicians and Surgeons orthopedic practice and was an
orthopedic surgeon and provided ER call at Glens Falls Hospital, Glens
Falls, New York.
