Pediatrician Sandra Timerman to Join Lewis County Family

Pediatrician
Sandra Timerman, MD, Joins Lewis County Family Practice in October
LOWVILLE, NY - Lewis County
Health System is pleased to announce that board-certified pediatrician
Sandra Timerman, MD, FAAP, will join Lewis County Family Practice on the
main hospital campus in Lowville on October 5, 2026.
"We are
thrilled to welcome Dr. Sandra Timerman to our pediatric care team,"
said Jeffery Hellinger, Chief Executive Officer at Lewis County Health
System. "Her expertise and passion for children's health care and
wellness will benefit the families we serve."
Dr. Timerman is a
Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and received her Doctor of
Medicine with a special interest in International Medicine from Loyola
University of Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood,
Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of
Science degree in Biology and Society from Cornell University's College of
Human Ecology, with concentrations in Human Development and Family Studies
and Nutrition. She completed her
Pediatric Residency at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York.
She is an
experienced pediatrician with over 20 years of providing care in
outpatient, hospital, urgent care, and newborn settings. She is a member of
the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the
Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Timerman says
she is delighted to join the Lewis County Family Practice team. "My
goal is to build strong, trusting relationships with families so parents
feel fully supported at every stage of their child's growth and
development. I look forward to continuing to help children lead happy,
healthy lives."
Before joining
Lewis County Family Practice, Dr. Timerman was affiliated with North Star
Pediatrics in Watertown, New York. She spent 14 years as a pediatrician and
partner at Child and Adolescent Health Associates, a pediatrician at Pediatric
Associates in Watertown, and served as an adjunct Assistant Clinical
Professor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie,
Pennsylvania.
"Expanding
access to pediatric services is a priority to ensure we can continue to
meet the growing healthcare needs of families and children in our
area," said Sean Harney, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Employed
Practices at LCHS.
Dr. Timerman will
provide pediatric call coverage at LCHS and see patients
