Dennis S. Rennie
 COPENHAGEN- Dennis S. Rennie,
58, of Number Three Road, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving
family and close friends by his side on Thursday September 3, 2026.
Dennis was born
on June 19, 1968 in Lowville, NY. He was a son of
the late Allen and Carol (Jones) Rennie.
Dennis graduated high school in 1986 from Copenhagen Central
School. He married his high school
sweetheart Paula Earle on September 20, 1986 at
Emmanuel Congregational Church in Watertown, NY. In Dennis’ younger years, at the age of
12, he started working on his aunt and uncles, Bernard and Mary Jones dairy
farm in Copenhagen. He worked there
for many years. In 2001, he began
working for the Town of Denmark Highway Department as a MEO until he became
ill in 2016. Dennis loved his job
and only wished to return back to work
someday. Dennis worked hard all his
life, he made friends wherever he went, and his family was everything to
him. He loved being
in the outdoors, whether it was going 4-wheeling in his woods,
riding his razor, or snowmobiling with his grandchildren. He was known to have the best looking lawn in Copenhagen, as he took much pride
in his home and his camp at Cedar Creek Campground. Dennis was a true, genuine friend to all
that knew him. He never hesitated to
help anyone that needed it. He was
always there if he could be. Dennis
lived life to the fullest, despite his illness. Over the past 10 years, he persevered with
grace, dignity, and bravery. He
never complained, he just kept pushing forward. His greatest accomplishment was his
family, whom he truly loved with his whole heart, His life revolved around his
grandchildren, they were his everything.
The love that they had for each other and the bond they shared was
truly unbreakable. Their “Bumpa” was
their best friend, as they often told him.
He was so proud to call them his own. He was that “Bumpa” that always showed up
for the sporting and school events, despite how he may be feeling. He was proud of all his grandchildren and
all their accomplishments.
Dennis leaves
behind his loving wife, Paula (Earle) Rennie of nearly 41 years; his two
daughters, Eliza and Kadie Rennie; seven grandchildren, Gavin, Aedyn,
Madelyn, Jayce, Logan, Raelyn, and Alayna; and his goldendoodle, Bentley; a
sister, Patricia (Joe) Godlewski; brothers, Scott Rennie (companion,
Anthony DeNinno), Matthew (Amy) Rennie; his father and mother-in-law, Steve
and Connie Earle, (Dennis was much more of a son than a son-in-law to
them); brother-in-law, Steve (Alissa) Earle, sister-in-law, Cheryl (Shawn)
Earle. He leaves behind several aunts,
uncles, nieces and nephews. He had
two nephews that he was very close to, Joseph (Ski) and Andrew (A.J.) Godlewski. Dennis is predeceased by his parents,
Allen and Carol Rennie, and a brother-in-law, David Simmons.
Dennis was an
amazing man and made many friends over the years, that have remained long
lasting friendships. He will be
truly missed and forever loved by his family and friends. We will be looking for the brightest star
in the sky and know you are looking over us. As much as we are going to deeply miss
you, we are at peace knowing you are free of pain. You were the strongest man we’ve ever
known, and you fought so hard. Thank
you for our beautiful life we built together with
our family and grandchildren, and for a lifetime
of beautiful memories. We will love
and miss you forever. This is not
goodbye, it’s see you later.

would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Walker Cancer Treatment
Center for the compassion they gave and the friendships they made with
Dennis. You all made his long
treatment days more comfortable for him and we are
forever grateful for that. Thank you
to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department and Lowville Search and Rescue,
who responded so quickly to our home.
Also, to Lewis County General Hospital ER nurses and staff for their
loving compassion and for just being with our family and friends to get
through a very difficult time. Thank

and being so patient with us.
And finally, a very special thank you to our families and very
special friends who have walked this journey with us. You have all truly been our strength
through some very tough times. We
couldn’t have gotten through all of this without all of you. We love you all.
Calling hours are
from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday September 12, 2026
at River of Life Fellowship, 9871 Number Three Road, Copenhagen, with a
funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m, at
church. Burial
will be held at the convenience of the family. A luncheon at church will immediately
follow the funeral service, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to the Samaritan Medical Center Foundation of NNY Inc., 830 Washington
Street, Watertown, NY 13601, and please be sure to note: “Walker Center for
Cancer Care” on the memo line to restrict the funds for cancer
services. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
