AI-generated content may be incorrect.LOWVILLE- Clement “Clem” Bush, 102, of Arthur Road, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones, under the care of his family, his friends, and Lewis County Hospice.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 69 years, Wilma; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Virgil (René) Bush of Turin, Jeffrey Bush of Lowville, Gerald (Cathy) Bush of Lowville; five grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Tim, Matt (Ariane), and Caleb Bush; two great-grandchildren;, Danica and Beau; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Barbara Bush of Lowville; a sister, Clara Matulewicz of Lowville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He is predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Karen Bush; his siblings Margaret (Leonard) Tabolt, Lawrence (Wanda) Bush, Marie (Verle Sr.) Walters, Theresa (Maurice) Birchenough, Robert (Beverly) Bush, Christina (Walter) Thoma; a brother-in-law, Jack Matulewicz.

 

Clem was born on January 2, 1924 at home in Lowville, NY, a son of the late Henry and Frances Becker Bush and attended Lowville Academy.  He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  On September 21, 1957, he married Wilma Kiernan.  Clem worked for the tree nursery in Dadville and later for NYS DEC for many years, until his retirement.  He enjoyed chewing tobacco, being in the woods and cutting wood, senior bus trips with his wife, spending time with his family, and watching the deer.

 

Clem’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Lewis County Hospice and to his special friends and neighbors that helped him since he has been sick.

 

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday September 24, 2026 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville with Pastor Ed Steckly officiating.  Calling hours are from 11-1 prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home.  Burial with Military Honors will be in Castorland Union Cemetery.  A luncheon at the Lowville VFW will immediately follow the graveside service.  Any food donations may be taken directly to the VFW on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Clem to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.
