build confidence and discover what Girl Scouting is all about!
Look for Girl
Scouts at school open houses this month.
Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN)
council staff and volunteers are tabling at school open houses across the
region over the next few weeks. Families are encouraged to stop by to learn
more about programming for girls in grades K–12 and discover how to join or
form a troop. Because every impactful Girl Scout experience is guided
by trusted and caring mentors, council representatives will also share
information about adult volunteer opportunities to lead troops, share
skills and guide the next generation of leaders.
“Fall into
Friendship” with Girl Scouts at free regional events on October 3 and 10.
Families of girls in grades K-3 are invited to one-hour events specifically
designed to give younger girls a hands-on Girl Scout experience. Each
autumn-themed session includes friendship-based games, creative crafts,
team challenges and dynamic activities. Girls will make friendship
bracelets and contribute to a “Friendship Tree” while learning how Girl
Scouting fosters kindness, leadership and lifelong bonds. Each offers a
welcoming environment for families and girls to ask questions, explore
membership options, learn about local troops and sign up for the Girl Scout
year. Caregivers must attend and stay for the duration.
