LOWVILLE- Philip Prager,
90, of Emi Lane, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 19, 2026 at Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility.
He is survived by
his beloved wife of over 69 years, Ronnie; three children, Bart (Ellen)
Prager of Virginia, Lori Windover of Lowville, Adley (Tami) Prager of NC; four
grandchildren, Candice, Monica, Rebecca, and Kyle; and four
great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcy Pronsky; nieces, nephews and many
cousins. He is predeceased by two
brothers-in-law, Bruce Polon and Arnold Pronsky.
Philp was born on
August 1, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late
David and Shirley Klein Prager and graduated from Tilden High School in
Brooklyn, NY in 1954. Philip was a
lifelong salesman. He and his wife
moved to Lewis County, NY in 1984.
He was a member
of BPOE #1605 Lowville Lodge.
Philip enjoyed
visiting with family and friends and was known for operating his hot dog
cart at the 4-corners in Lowville for many years. He enjoyed 200 Club parties at the
Lowville VFW and Lowville Firehall and New York Yankee games with his
family and fishing.
There will be no
calling hours or funeral service. Philp’s
family will gather privately to celebrate his life. A private burial will be at the
convenience of the family. In lieu
of flowers, contributions may be made to Lewis County Humane Society, P.O.
Box 682, Lowville, NY 13367.
