LVB 200th Anniversary Celebration continues Wednesday

The Lowville Village Band’s 200th Anniversary Celebration continues on Wednesday, June 29, at 7:00 PM in Veterans Memorial Park on Parkway Drive in downtown Lowville.  Food and dessert trucks will be available prior to the concert and during the performance with dinners, drinks, and desserts for purchase.  Park tables and benches are available, and patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an old-fashioned, historic concert on the green.

The concert this week will begin with the United States National Anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner" and will conclude with Irving Berlin's immortal "God Bless America".  Other selections that will be performed this week include a medley from the classic musical "Oliver!".  The medley includes the songs Who Will Buy, As Long As He Needs Me, Where is Love, and Consider Yourself.   Eric Osterling's "Sunburst March" will return to the LVB line-up for the first time in several years.  New this year is an interesting work called "Into the Hornets' Nest".  Pop songs that will be heard include "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi and "Jai Ho" recorded by The Pussycat Dolls.

The playground and green space will be open for the kiddos to play or bring balls and frisbees. In the event of rain, the concert and food trucks will be held at the pavilion at the Lewis County Fairgrounds.
