Lowville Village Band’s 200th Anniversary Celebration

LVB 200th Celebration Continues with Chicken BBQ Dinner Concert
Lowville, NY- On Wednesday,
July 15, the Historic Lowville Village Band’s 200th year of providing
music for Lewis County and the surrounding area will continue at Veterans
Memorial Park (located on Parkway Drive behind the Fire Hall downtown).
This week the Lowville
Village Band will join forces with the Lowville American Legion to host a Chicken
BBQ prior to the concert. The BBQ dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m., until gone. Chicken halves are available for $8.00
each, as well as dinners. Dinners will include salads and a roll for just
$12.00. There is plenty of seating in Veterans Memorial Park to enjoy
your meal during the concert, which begins at 7 p.m. Moose Knuckles
food truck will also be on hand throughout the concert with a wonderful
assortment of food, drinks , and desserts.
Don't forget their famous dried cheese curd!
This week's
concert will feature the exciting march "Sounds of Spring" and
the pop classic "Africa" by Toto. The Civil War will be
touched upon with the songs "Gettysburg" and "Last Ride of
the Pony Express". Do you remember Lola? She was a show girl at
the Copacabana Night Club in the 1970s, before becoming a disco. If not,
the Lowville Village Band will perform the Barry Manilow hit
"Copacabana" to refresh your memory!
