Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Katie; his three
children, Katrina Liendecker Obata (Gregory) of Bend, Oregon, Andrew
(Michele) Liendecker of Turin, NY, and Kurt
(Jacqueline) Liendecker of Spencerport, NY; four

Taryn Liendecker; his sister, Denise Liendecker Romeo of Elephant Butte,
NM; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his Everson family. He was

Paul was born on September 19, 1940, in Lowville, NY,
a son of the late Dorrance and Madonna Allen Liendecker. He graduated from
Lyons Falls High School in 1960 and attended Utica College. From 1960 to
1964, he served in the United States Air Force. On March 6, 1965, he
married Catherine “Katie” Everson at St. John's Catholic Church in Lyons
Falls, NY. Paul worked at Bowmax in Watertown
from 1964 to 1965 and also drove school bus for South Lewis Central School. He then served as an
Audio-Visual/Computer Tech for Jeff/Lewis BOCES in Glenfield from 1965 to
1996. In retirement, he worked for Widmeyer and Plato from 1996 to 1997.
Paul was also a local volunteer handyman, known by many as the person to call
for help installing windows.
Paul was a member of Forest Presbyterian Church in
Lyons Falls, where he generously shared his skills as a volunteer handyman.
He also served the church for many years as an elder and as chairman of the
building and grounds committee.
Paul was a talented woodcrafter who created
everything from small cars and furniture to jewelry boxes and a child’s
rocker. He also made custom golf clubs and enjoyed photography. His
connection to Brantingham Golf Course was especially meaningful: several of
his photographs from the 1987 Masters Tournament are displayed there, and
he developed the course’s first computerized handicap system. An
accomplished golfer, Paul was named Club Champion one year and received the course’s green jacket
in recognition of that achievement. He also made a hole-in-one on the
second hole in 1994.
