He was born on November 26, 1948, in Amsterdam, NY, a son of the late Clarence and Margaret Becker Lampman.

Chris grew up on the family dairy farm just off the East Road, where he learned the value of hard work. Following graduation from Port Leyden High School, he continued working on the farm and eventually purchased it, operating it for many years with the help of his nephews, Tuffer and Ryan. After retiring from farming, Chris began a second career at Sunset Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Boonville as a Certified Nursing Assistant. His gentle nature, dedication, and compassion made him a cherished caregiver, and he was affectionately thought of by many of the residents he served during his 14 years there. In 2014, the happiest years of his life began when he married Laurie Jones at Erwin Park in Boonville.

Chris greatly enjoyed riding motorcycles, animals, spending time at camp in Osceola, taking rides around the countryside, and being outside.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Laurie; a stepdaughter, Kayla; one brother, Wayne (Teresa) Lampman; one brother‑in‑law, Scott (Amy); one sister‑in‑law, Lisa; nieces and nephews, Tuffer (Nicole), Ryan (Amanda), and Mark (Kim) Lampman, and Bobby, Tim, and Mike Conn; and eight great‑nieces and nephews, Dylan, Ryana, Alenna, Linkin, Wessen, Corissa, Nicole, and Amberdawn.

He was predeceased by his parents; a sister and her husband, Lucrita (Bob) Conn; and a brother and his wife, Tim (Linda) Lampman.

In keeping with Chris’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mills Funeral Home of Boonville.

Online messages of sympathy may be shared with his family at www.millsfuneralhomes.com.
