 LOWVILLE- Eva Ellen
Staie, 73, of Trinity Ave. Ext., passed away at her home on Friday
afternoon June 12, 2026 due to complications of
heart surgery.
Eva is survived by her beloved husband, Craig; two
children, Ellen (John) Larkins of Lowville and Aaron Staie of Lowville;
five grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Matthew (Brooke) Larkins,
William (Jen) Larkins, Marissa (Jacob) Schaeffer, Jensen Staie and Connor
Staie; two great-Grandchildren, Sawyer Larkins and Paislie Larkins; a
sister, Linda (Dale) Cisco; two brothers, Chuck (Lynn) Brown and Mark (Sue)
Brown; and several step siblings. She is predeceased by her parents, Clara
Margaret Brown and Ralph Brown.
Eva was born on March 21, 1953
in Watertown, NY, the daughter of the late Ralph Brown and Clara Margaret
Pringle. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1971. She married Craig Staie on May 26, 1973 at Rodman Church.
Eva was of the Methodist faith.
She worked at Watertown Kmart, sewing mills in Adams and Glenfield,
The Medicine Shoppe in Lowville for many years. Eva took care of her husband, Craig, who
was the love of her life. Years ago,
Eva and Craig enjoyed
country and western square dancing. More recently, she enjoyed sewing and
reading. She especially enjoyed
spending time with family, including Grandkids and Great-Grandkids.
Calling hours are
from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday June 18, 2026
at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. with a funeral
service following at 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home with Mark Staie,
brother-in-law officiating. A get
together at her daughter and son-in-law’s home, Ellen and John Larkins,
7714 Kubinski Road, Lowville, NY will immediately follow the funeral
service, all are welcome. Burial
will be at the convenience of the family in Barnes Corner’s Cemetery.
