Lewis County Fair Beautification Committee Seeks
Community Support for Gardens
The Lewis County Fair Beautification
Committee is proud to share that there are over 35 gardens spread
throughout the 44 acres of the Lewis County Fairgrounds. These gardens add
beauty and charm to the fairgrounds, creating a welcoming environment for
visitors year-round.
Currently, only
about 10 of these gardens are maintained by families as memorials to loved
ones. The remaining gardens are cared for by the dedicated members of the
Beautification Committee, who generously volunteer their time throughout
the spring, summer, and fall.
To help sustain
and expand these efforts, the committee is inviting families, businesses,
and community groups to participate in a "adopt-a-garden
Program".
Sponsors will
have the opportunity to take a hands-on role in maintaining a garden space.
Activities may include:
● Spring clean-up and preparation
● Planting flowers
● Weeding and watering throughout
the summer for all to enjoy
● Cutting back and maintaining
gardens in the fall
This initiative
not only helps preserve the beauty of the fairgrounds but also fosters
community pride and involvement.
If you or your
organization are interested in sponsoring a garden, the Beautification
Committee would love to hear from you.

information or to get involved, please contact Linda Zehr, Beautification
Committee Chair 315.586-2223 or email: lzehr7@twcny.rr.com.
