Election
New Bremen Fire
District in the Town of New Bremen Lewis County, New York
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Resolution of the Board of Fire
Commissioners, a special election of the qualified voters of the New Bremen
Fire District (the "Fire District") in the Town of New Bremen,
New York (the "Town"), will be held at the New Bremen Volunteer
Fire Department, located at 8154 State Route 812, in Lowville NY 13367, on
the 2nd day of June, 2026 between the hours of 6pm and 9pm.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to the resolution adopted by
the Board of Commissioners of the First District on May 6th, 2026, the
following proposition will be submitted to the qualified voters of the Fire
District for approval or disapproval.
PROPOSITION
Shall the
resolution entitled:
BOND RESOLUTION
DATED JUNE 2ND, 2026, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLION
OF A NEW CHASSIS FOR STERLING ENGINE 1 AND RELATED APPARATUS, FOR THE NEW
BREMEN FIRE DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF NEW BREMEN, LEWIS COUNTY, NEW YORK, AT
A MAZIMUN ESTIMATED COST OF $450,000.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF
NOT EXCEEDING $250,000.00 SERIAL BONDS OF SAID FIRE DISTRICT TO PAY THE
COST THEREOF, AND BY UTILIZING RESERVE FUNDS IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF
$200,000.00 OF SAID FIRE DISTRICT TO PAY THE COST THEREOF.

the Board of Fire Commissioners of said Fire District on May 6th, 2026, be
approved:

Pursuant to
subdivision 4 of 179 of the Town Law, every elector of the Town of New
Bremen who shall be a registered voter of such Town and who shall have
resided in the Fire District for the period of thirty days next preceding
the election which is the subject of this notice shall be qualified to vote
upon such proposition.
