David J. Clute
David J. Clute,
88, of Lowville, Valley View
Court, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 16, 2026, at Samaritan Medical Center.
He was formerly of Greig Road.
Born on April 19, 1938, in Glens Falls, David was
the son of the late Chausey L. and Fanny
(VanWinkle) Clute.
David married
Germaine T. Mackey on June
28, 1986, in Lyons
Falls, with Peter
Sanamore officiating. Germaine predeceased him on March 25, 2022.
David was a
self-employed truck driver throughout his life. He was a lifetime member of
the North Country Kennel Club and The Dachshund Club of Greater Syracuse,
and a past member of the Salt City Cat Club. He was also a communicant of
St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
David enjoyed
trying and eating new foods, though his favorite was always a cowboy steak. He loved fishing and camping with the
love of his life and companion, Linda J. Jones.
In addition to
his wife, Germaine, David was most recently predeceased by his companion,
Linda J. Jones.
A graveside
service will be held Friday,
May 22, 2026, at 11:00
a.m. at Beaches
Bridge Cemetery.
