Lewis County School District Budget Votes and Board
of Education Election Results

Voters in Lewis County school districts joined those across
the state in turning out to the polls
today for budget votes and board of education elections. Results, as
received, are included below (with board seat winners in bold).
BEAVER RIVER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Voters approved the district’s $23,778,124 budget by a vote of
324 to 128. Propositions to purchase buses and a library levy increase were
also approved.
Board of Education Election (Vote for 3):
Holly Aucter- 363
Amy Baker- 286
Amanda Mattimore- 298
Travis Moser- 264
COPENHAGEN CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Voters approved the district’s $12,795,927 budget by a vote of
71 to 4.
Board of Education Election (Vote for 2):
Lynn Murray- 73
Robert Stackel- 69
HARRISVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Voters approved the district’s $11,494,928 budget by a vote of
125 to 46. Voters also approved the purchase of two new buses. A
proposition to increase Harrisville Free Library tax collection by $7,000 to
$92,000 annually was defeated with 79 yes votes and 94 no votes.
Board of Education Election (Vote for 1):
Cory Bearor- 131
LOWVILLE ACADEMY & CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Voters approved the district’s $32,073,124 by a vote of 212 to
70. Voters additionally approved propositions to purchase four new buses,
transport Head Start students, and a $30,000 library levy increase.
Board of Education Election (Vote for 3):
Stephanie Houser Fouse- 239
Steven Fuller- 228
Cheyenne Steria- 235
SOUTH LEWIS CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Voters approved the district’s $35,009,478
budget by a vote of 235 to 88. A proposition to purchase buses was also
approved.
Board of Education Election (Vote for 3):
Lucy Austin- 206 (elected to 5-year term)
Jessica Carpenter- 266 (elected to 5-year term)
Katie Carpenter- 188 (elected to 1-year term)
