Beaver Falls, NY- The Beaver River Central School District will hold their annual Budget Hearing meeting on May 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the school auditorium, to present the 2026-27 spending plan.

The proposed $23,778,124 budget for the 2026-2027 school year is a $522,425 (2.25 percent) increase over the $23,255,699 approved for the current school year. The tax levy, the amount to be collected through taxes, is proposed to increase by 2 percent ($121,676) from $6,083,804 to $6,205,480. This is within the district’s allowed tax cap increase calculated by New York state at 3.08 percent, meaning the budget vote will require a simple majority of voters for approval.

The district’s budget vote and Board of Education election will take place on Tuesday, May 19, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the school auditorium.

There are four candidates vying for three seats on the Board of Education, each for three-year terms. The candidates are Holly Aucter, Amy Baker, Amanda Mattimore, and Travis Moser.

More information on the Board of Education candidates and the district’s spending plan can be viewed in the district’s 2026-27 Budget Newsletter here.
