Beaver Falls, NY- The Beaver
River Central School District will hold their annual Budget Hearing meeting
on May 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the school auditorium, to present the
2026-27 spending plan.
The proposed $23,778,124
budget for the 2026-2027 school year is a $522,425 (2.25 percent) increase
over the $23,255,699 approved for the current school year. The tax levy,
the amount to be collected through taxes, is proposed to increase by 2 percent
($121,676) from $6,083,804 to $6,205,480. This is within the district’s
allowed tax cap increase calculated by New York
state at 3.08 percent, meaning the budget vote will require a simple
majority of voters for approval.
The district’s
budget vote and Board of Education election will take place on Tuesday, May
19, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the school auditorium.
There are four
candidates vying for three seats on the Board of Education, each for
three-year terms. The candidates are Holly Aucter, Amy Baker, Amanda
Mattimore, and Travis Moser.
