Beaver River Announces Class of 2026 Class Leaders

Beaver Falls, NY- The academic leaders for the Class of 2026 at Beaver River Central
School are Tessa Murphy, valedictorian; Hannah Roggie, salutatorian; and
outstanding vocational class leader, Lacey Wilton.
VALEDICTORIAN: TESSA MURPHY
Tessa is the daughter of Francis and Bobbi Sue Murphy. She will
graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with honors and mastery in math
and science. Tessa challenges herself academically. She is currently
pursuing college level classes such as JCC ECO 101 (Macroeconomics), JJC
Sociology Intro, MTH 144 Elementary Statistics, and English 102, English
101, JCC POL 121 American Government, JCC Psychology, and MTH 165 College Algebra.
This rigorous schedule reflects the high standards Tessa has set for
herself. Even with these difficult
classes, Tessa is in the National Honor Society, consistently on the High
Honor Roll, and has been a member of the “Top Ten” in her class all through
high school. She has been able to maintain her high-grade point average
while balancing a successful path in athletics and the arts. Tessa has
managed to find time to pursue an active presence in the basketball, swimming
(captain) and softball programs. Her presence in the arts at Beaver River
is immense. In high school Tessa has participated
in 8 different musicals, and consistently been a part of the marching band,
concert band, area all-state chorus, choraleers,
and has attended the NYSSMA Solo Festival all 4 years of high school. She
is the student council president and has served as class treasurer for 4
years. This fall, Tessa will be attending Belmont University in Nashville,
Tennessee. She will be majoring in business with hopes to
pursue a career in recording or management within the music
industry.
SALUTATORIAN: HANNAH ROGGIE
Hannah Roggie is the daughter of Christopher and Heidi Roggie. Hannah will
graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with honors and mastery in math
and science. She also takes college courses; this year her schedule
consists of MTH 165 College Algebra, AP Biology, BIO 131 Principles of
Biology: Cell and Molecular. Half of her school day this year has been spent at the BOCES New Visions program. Along
with challenging herself academically, Hannah also excels in sports. She
has been a dedicated member of the soccer, basketball, and track &
field teams throughout high school. She earned the title of captain for all
three of these sports her senior year. Hannah is a
member of the National Honors Society, student council, and is the
treasurer of the senior class. Outside of the school environment Hannah
dedicates time to her churches AWANA club, Beaver Camp, High Falls Farm,
and Double Play Community Center. Hannah plans to attend Messiah University
to study Nursing.
OUTSTANDING VOCATIONAL CLASS LEADER: LACEY WILTON
Lacey Wilton is the daughter of Amanda and Brandon Beckley and Michael
and Jen Wilton. She has a two-year average of 97.43 at Howard G. Sackett
Technical Center where she has thrived in the Visual Communications program.
Lacey will graduate with a Regents Diploma. Outside of school Lacey works
with the Beaver Falls Head Start program. After she graduates, Lacey has
plans to attend WGU online and work towards a degree in Cyber Security.
