Mr. Chad Luther,
South Lewis High School Principal, is happy to announce that 17 South Lewis
students were inducted to The Morgan Lewis Chapter of the National Honor
Society at a ceremony held Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Membership in
National Honor Society is bestowed upon students who are at the top of
their class and who embody the four pillars that are the foundation of the
organization: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Throughout
their high school career, inducted students have performed well
academically, have volunteered to make a difference in their community, have
taken leadership roles among their peers, and have demonstrated high
standards of integrity and reliability. Members are committed to upholding
these cherished pillars of NHS.
The 2026
Induction Ceremony was held in the auditorium, and, in addition to members of
the inductees’ families, South Lewis Administrators and Board of Education members
celebrated the success of this accomplished group of young people. To begin
the ceremony, Mrs. Jennifer Duell, NHS Advisor and High School Educator, introduced
the current NHS members who then announced and welcomed newly inducted students.
To conclude the event, Mrs. Amanda Drake, South Lewis graduate and local
entrepreneur, addressed the group about how her life experience has been
shaped by the core values represented by the pillars of NHS.
The two inductees
from the Class of 2026 were Darrian Brown and Lana Whalen. The Class of
2027 inductees were Mason Arthur, Jayden Bennington, Carter Bourgeois,
Callie Brown, Christopher Canova Jr., Lili Cihocki, Megan Ebersol, Kailyn
Markham, Dawson Millard, Aubrey Ossont, Grace Smith, Zoey Staring, Abby

Congratulations
to all these students for their dedication and commitment to their school
and community.
