LOWVILLE- Patricia B. Call,
(Pat) 95, of Brookside Circle, Lowville, NY, died Friday, April 24, 2026 at Lewis County General Hospital.
Calling hours are
Sunday May 3, 2026, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Iseneker
Funeral Home, Inc. 5702 Waters Rd., Lowville. A funeral service will be held at 12:30
p.m. on Monday May 4, 2026 at Iseneker
Funeral Home, Inc with Paul Wilson, President of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-Day Saints, Lowville, officiating. Burial will be at Beaches
Bridge Cemetery, Watson, following the service. A Celebration of Life will be at the
Lowville Fire Department from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., following the grave
side service. All are welcome. Any
food donations may be taken directly to the firehall on Monday May 4, 2026 after 12:00 p.m.
Contributions may be made in memory of Pat to: St. Jude’s Children’s
Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Pat was born May
25, 1930 to Leroy and Nellie (Branagan) Bush in
Belfort, NY. She attended schools in
Belfort & Beaver Falls, NY.
Pat helped her
husband, Rip, run the Lowville and Beaver River Railroad in Croghan NY and
later co-owned Lewis Lanes in Lowville NY.
She became an LPN in 1965 working at Lewis County General Hospital
in Lowville NY, mostly in the ER, for 23 years. She did volunteer work for the Catholic
Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and the LCGH Gift
shop. She was a member of the Lewis
Co Historical Society and the VFW Post 6912 in Lowville and belonged to the
North Country Modern Square-Dancing Group in Lowville. Pat was a genealogy buff, an avid bowler
most of her life, she roller skated, loved playing guitar, riding her
motorcycle, with her little dog, and traveling all across
the US and Canada. Pat was also an
author writing a book for her children and grandchildren “Memories of a
Former Kid and publishing the book “Belfort of Yesteryears”.
Pat was happiest
when she was doing for others. She loved to knit and sew making slippers
for friends, family and any one that helped
her. She knit many baby bonnets for
SMC in Watertown, NY and made lap robes and bags for those in
wheelchairs. Pat wanted all to know
that God always cared and helped in their time of need. She would hand out little frogs to all
that she met with the meaning of F.R.O.G. on them (Fully Rely On God). She made
these little frog up till a couple of days before
going into the hospital.
Pat is survived
by her five daughters, Karen Duffy of Lowville NY, Jacqueline (Thomas) Greene
of DeRuyter NY, Colleen (Rick) West
of Lowville NY, Francine Lyndaker of Cedar City Utah, Patricia (Newton) Mellnitz of Castorland, two step-sons Donald (Karen)
Maher of Philadelphia NY, Bruce (Gwen) Call of Pamelia NY and a
step-daughter Judy (William) Cronister of Falls Church VA, along with many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren , great-great-grandchildren and
great-great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat was
predeceased by her husband’s Shorland (Rip)
Forney, Leon Maher and Roscoe Call, her brothers Virgil Busch and Johnny
Bush, sister Daryl Houppert, daughter Elizabeth (Bette) Shaw, son-in-law
Ronald Lyndaker, step-son Leon Call, Step-daughters Mary Urtz, Peggy Bush and Beverly Derouirn and two precious great-granddaughters Ryanne
and Peyton West.
