On February 2, 1984, she married Lansing Davis, who passed away in 2014.

She is survived by her children Wayne (Karen) Overton, Patty Hanno, Amy (Mark) Marti, and stepdaughter Susie (Jamie) Gassett whom she loved as her own. She cherished her 10 grandchildren and 16 soon-to-be 17 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Nevills Carthage, Karen (Sonny Davidson) Redwood, and Bobby St. Louis of North Carolina, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
