CROGHAN- Bruce Edward Tabolt, 63, of
School Street, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026
at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.
The funeral
service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 21, 2026
at Croghan Mennonite Church. Burial
will follow in Croghan Mennonite Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday April 20, 2026 at the church.

Bruce is survived
by his beloved wife of nearly 39 years, Robin; four children, Tyser (Ashley
Walseman) Tabolt of Croghan and their son, Nathanial Edward Tabolt; Tabitha
(Derek) Micek of Castorland; Tristan Tabolt of Croghan; and Trudy Tabolt of
Croghan; his siblings, William Tabolt of Watertown; Joan Terrillion of
Croghan; James Tabolt of Croghan; Michael (Christine) Tabolt of Croghan; Brien
(Rose) Tabolt of Croghan; Christine (Earl) Lashbrooks
of Croghan; Angela (James) Griffin of Babbit, Minnesota; an aunt; several
nieces, nephews and cousins, including John and Marika Schwartzentruber,
who were very special to Bruce; and Stefanie Keefer and Evan Baker, whom
Bruce thought the world of. He is
predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Kenneth & Lila Widrick.
Bruce was born on
December 16, 1962 in Watertown, NY, a son of the
late James “Russell” and Mary Emma O’Brien Tabolt and graduated from Beaver
River Central School in the Class of 1981. While in school, Bruce was active with
FFA and was a lifelong dairy farmer.
On May 29, 1987, he married Robin Renee Widrick at St. Stephen’s
Catholic Church, Croghan. He
especially enjoyed farming and had a love for animals, gardening, cattle
auctions, cooking and family get-togethers.
Bruce loved being a father-figure to the neighborhood kids. He was so looking forward to the farm
becoming a Centennial Farm in 2027.
