Millard, 63, formerly of  Stewart Lane Road., Lowville, and Heuvelton, NY, passed away on Thursday evening March 26, 2026 at Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, under the care of the 4th floor facility staff and Lewis County Hospice.  Steven had resided at the nursing home since July 31, 2025.

 

Steven is survived by his mother, Charlotte Lyndaker Millard, of Watson; a sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and Eric Jensen of Liverpool; two brothers, Dean Millard of  Watson and his companion, Tina; George Millard and his companion Laura of Fincastle, VA.; a niece and her husband, Alicia and Andy Hewitt of Dexter, and their children, Dylan, Addie, and Lucy; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special friend David Murphy and his Heuvelton family.  He is predeceased by his father, Gerald “Jerry” Millard, and a brother, Dennis Millard.

 

Steven was born on July 25, 1962 in Lowville, NY, a son of the late, Gerald G.  “Jerry” Millard; and Charlotte Lyndaker Millard.  He graduated from Lowville Acadeny in the Class of 1980.  During high school, he attended Jeff/Lewis BOCES for carpentry.  He worked for Vinny Farney construction and then moved to Florida for a few years, working in the printing/newspaper field.  He returned home due to illness in 1983.  Steven lived throughout the north county the rest of his life.  He enjoyed hunting & fishing, gardening, carpentry, car races, cooking and grilling.  He also enjoyed arm wrestling when younger and was artistic.  Steven loved food, was well liked, well mannered, and was a good friend to many.  He was very kind and helpful at church and at home.  Steven was a hard worker and most of all, he loved his family.

 

Calling hours will be held from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. on Friday April 3, 2026 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.  The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Ed Steckly officiating.  A luncheon at 3-G Fire Department will immediately follow the funeral service, all are welcome.  Any food donations may be taken directly to the Glenfield Firehall after 9:00 a.m. on Friday.  Burial will be later this spring in Martinsburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367 or Lewis County Hospital Foundation, 7785 N. State Street, Lowville, NY 13367.

 

The Millard family would like to share a special thanks to the family care home and transitional living staff in St Lawrence County, the east wing staff and the 4th floor nursing home staff at Lewis County Residential Healthcare facility for their loving care and kindness to Steven and his family.
