...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THURSDAY TO 1 PM EST

FRIDAY...

 

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of one to

  two tenths of an inch across the northern half of Jefferson County

  and across the higher terrain of Lewis county.

 

* WHERE...Jefferson and Lewis Counties. The greatest ice

  accumulations are expected near the Saint Lawrence River.

 

* WHEN...From 6 PM Thursday to 1 PM EST Friday.

 

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will

  likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road

  conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday

  evening and Friday morning commutes.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 

Periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will result in slippery

roads and limited visibilities. Slow down and use caution while

driving.
