AI-generated content may be incorrect.HARRISVILLE, NY- Mrs. Mary Lauretta Cozzie, 85, formerly of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was born on November 6, 1940 to Anson and Lauretta (Aubin) LaRoue in Harrisville, New York.

 

Mrs. Cozzie was a long-term resident of the State of Florida. She was an active member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church with her faith being the cornerstone of her life.

 

In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the organ, writing poetry and short stories, playing Bridge, Bingo and Bunco at the senior center.

 

Mrs. Cozzie was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Earl.

 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Anthony F. Cozzie; her children, Robert (Michelle) Cozzie, Paul (Christine) Cozzie, Thomas Cozzie, David (Julie) Cozzie, Karen (Jerauld) Brydges, Mark Cozzie and Michael Cozzie; her grandchildren: Michael, David, Maria and Gabriella Cozzie, Anthony, Sofia, Olivia and Andrew Cozzie, Alexander, Heather, Tyler and Erin Cozzie, Caitlin, Benjamin and Conor Brydges; her sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Jack Bassette; her brother, Frank (Terry Conrad) LaRoue, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Her funeral services were held in Florida with a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.  Her funeral Mass was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 247 US 331, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, with Father Richard Dawson officiating.

 

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Margaret Catholic Church at 247 US-331, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Burial was held at Magnolia Cemetery.
