There will be a
snowmobile safety course sponsored by the Valley Sno Travelers Snowmobile
Club on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the club’s
groomer building at 3642 Rector RD, Lowville, NY 13367. The course hours
are from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Children from age
10 -13 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on lands
upon which snowmobiling is allowed while accompanied by (within 500 feet
of) a person who is at least 18 years of age.
Children from age
14 -1 7 must take this course to be allowed to operate a snowmobile on
lands upon which snowmobiling is allowed without being accompanied by a
person who is at least 18 years of age.
Students must
have reached his or her 10th birthday on or before the day the course ends in order to be eligible to receive a snowmobile safety
certificate. Parents-legal guardians MUST stay the
first 15 minutes so all paper work can be filled
out. Students will need a pen and a highlighter, lunch
will be provided.
